By A Staff Reporter

LONDON July 12: Air India has released an updated list of flight itinerary from India to London on 12th July 2020. The schedule has provided the list of connection flights which will get you to a destination from where you can travel to London.

For Keralites those who are looking to travel to London will have to get a flight to either Mumbai or Delhi. Be aware that there are no regular flights from Kochi to Delhi and Mumbai and therefore, check the dates of the flight in advance before travelling so as to secure the connection flight from one of these destinations to London.

It is always better to check the flight timing from either Delhi or Mumbai to London before taking the flight from Kochi. This is because travellers aren’t permitted to exit the airport in Mumbai or Delhi. You will have to remain within the airport until your flight to London. Therefore, planning is very important when booking flights from Kochi.

You will have to get the tickets booked through the Air India portal www.airindia.in. There are flights arriving in London from Mumbai and Delhi on most of the days in July.

Securing tickets through the Air India portal remains a struggle for many. You are able to book multiple tickets at a time. Therefore, if you are looking to book for someone else as a family then you will be. Downloading the mobile app for Air India booking will help you to secure tickets more speedily compared to their website, says a traveller.

Travel agents and some individuals have started to help out those looking to secure tickets through the Ai India portal. Speaking to this website, a recent traveller from Kerala narrated his experience. JP narrated to this website his experiences of trying to get back home in London.

“I was waiting to get back to London but then there were several who were trying to secure a chartered flight but all their efforts fell wayside and then I decided to secure a ticket through the Air India evacuation flights.

“I was told that there are travel agents who secure tickets but you will have to pay service charges to them which ranges between Rs1000 and Rs5000.

“However, I opted to secure the tickets through the Air India portal. This is where all the problems start. I dialled the Air India number and then I had waited for so long that I lost Rs3000 in one call. Then when I got hold of them and was making the payment the card got declined. I then rang Natwest in UK and checked with them if my money has cleared and was told that the money hasn’t been transferred. Finally after a long wait I secured the tickets.

“It is not just the tickets that will help me to travel. I had to secure several certificates prior to the journey”, JP said.

“Some of the mandatory certificates required to travel back to London were DMO Clearance Certificate, Quarantine Release Certificate, Arogya Sethu Clearance certificate printed out through the website, Boarding pass etc. Always ensure you speak to Air India staff to understand what all are required and always have Air India number saved on your mobile”, JP said.
