Keralites in Crewe form new Malayalee association: View inauguration Video

CREWE (Cheshire) Jan 18: The Keralite community in Crewe, a railway town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, gave form to Crewe Malayalee Association. The Malayalee community has been residing in Crewe for the last fifteen years.

With the Keralite community numbers increasing the need for an association to support each other became a necessity.

Due to Covid restrictions the start of the association was delayed.

The association was finally inaugurated online by Crewe Town Council Mayor Tom Dunlop. The mayor offered all assistance from the council in the smooth functioning of the association.

Congratulatory message also came in from Kerala Water Resources Minister Roshy Augustine from Idukki.

Manoj Kumar Pillai, president of Union of UK Malayalee Association (UUKMA) spoke during the occasion and offered all support to the smooth functioning of the association.

The new office bearers are Bejoy Thomas, President; Joshy Thomas, Secretary & Treasurer; Manu Joy Nambiaparambil Vice president and Aneesh Antony Joint Secretary.
