Keralites Community Mourns Sudden Demise of Chartered Accountant Georgee Mathew in London

LONDON May 15: The Keralite community in the UK has been left deeply shocked and saddened by the unexpected demise of Georgee Ambarayil Mathew (47), a native of Karikkuzhy Thalavady in Alappuzha district, Kerala, who passed away in London on May 10.<

Georgee, who lived in Loughton, London, collapsed while on a morning walk in the UK. He was rushed to hospital immediately, but despite medical efforts, his life could not be saved.

He hailed from Ambarayil House, Karikkuzhy Thalavady, and was widely known among the Malayali community in Britain for his active involvement in cultural and community activities.

A respected chartered accountant by profession, Georgee was associated with Meridian Accountants & Consultants in Ilford, London. Born in April 1979, he was best known as the principal founder, director, and majority shareholder of Meridian Accountants and Consultants Limited, an accounting firm established in March 2013 and headquartered in Ilford, Greater London.

Georgee held a Master of Commerce (MCom) degree and was a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). He completed his professional training through the Financial Training Company (Kaplan Financial) in London.

He also served as one of the directors of The London Entrepreneurs Club, an organisation representing Indian business entrepreneurs in London.

A prominent member of St. James Mar Thoma Church, London, Georgee was well regarded for his dedication to both his professional and community life.

He is survived by his wife, Renju Anen Joseph, and their 9-year-old daughter.

Georgee’s sudden passing has left relatives, friends, colleagues, and members of the wider Malayali community in profound grief.
