LONDON March 21: Boris Johnson has told pubs, restaurants and cafes to close their doors this evening and not re-open tomorrow in an effort to prevent the further spread of coronavirus.
He said “literally thousands of lives” will be saved if the British public paid attention to the advice from government.
“These measures are intended to be temporary,” he says. “The speed of our eventual recovery depends entirely on our collective ability to get on top of the virus now”.
“Yesterday, Wuhan reported no new cases for the first time since the outbreak started,” WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in Geneva.
