KOZHIKODE Nov 21: BJP leader K Surendran on Wednesday accused the CPM of supporting terrorist organisations in the state. Surendran also added that CPM, which is closely linked with Muslim terrorist organisations, is only trying to cheat the public by its apparent stand against Maoist activities.
According to Surendran, CPM is showing double standard in its approach towards Islamic terrorism. “The current gimmicks by the leaders is an attempt to overcome the public reaction against party members’ link with Maoist groups,” he said during a press conference.
He also pointed out that the CPM’s affinity towards terrorists was clear when it refrained from raising demands to investigate the murder of Maharaja’s college student Abhimanyu.
According to him, the case was sabotaged by the government as the CPM has teamed up with SDPI at various parts of the state.
It must be noted that CPM Kozhikode Secretary P Mohanan had earlier claimed that the Maoist groups in the state were supported by Islamic terrorists.
