KOCHI Nov 2: Customs Air Intelligence at the Kochi International Airport has arrested seven people including a cabin crew with 3kg of gold at the airport.
According to news reports, a senior cabin crew member of Air India flight that came from London to Kochi on Sunday morning was arrested with 1.4kg of gold.
It is reported that this cabin crew member rested in a hotel in Kochi and then he was arrested when he came to board an Air India flight to Mumbai airport from Kochi.
On his arrival at the airport his luggage was checked by the CISF who discovered the gold.
Although the cabin crew member has revealed that the gold was handed over to him by someone in Kochi, he hasnt revealed the name.
Customs Air Intelligence at the Kochi International Airport checked the CCTV footage and believe that the gold may have been smuggled from London. Investigations are continuing.
