Keralite on business visit to UK passed away in Kent

LONDON May 27: A Keralite who was on a ten day business conference visit to the UK passed away at the Darent Valley Hospital in Kent on Friday 26th May 2023.

Manu Cyriac Mathew (42), who is working for a private firm in Bangalore, arrived on a business visit last week.

He suffered some discomfort in his chest and he was taken to the hospital in Kent on Thursday by his co-brother in his car, with whom he was living in Erith in Kent.

His situation deteriorated and he was put on ventilator support on Thursday but Manu wasnt able to recover and his condition deteriorated resulting in his death being confirmed yesterday (Friday).

Manu is from Kozhikode and is survived by his wife Mishomi Manu, children Neva, Eva Mikhail.

Manu is son of retired teachers TK Mathew and Gracy of Keerambanal.

The family home is Thiruvambadi Koodaranji Thadathiparambil in Kozhikode.

Community members are suporting Manu’s family members in the UK to have the body repatriated.

Indian High Commission has already made contacts with Manu’s next of kin in the UK and offered him all help and assistance.

The private firm for which Manu is working too have confirmed all help and assistance for the repatriation.
