Beware of Royal Mail Scam: Warnings issued over fake Royal Mail delivery fee text messages

LONDON April 14: Customers have been receiving text messages stating that a delivery was attempted, accompanied with a link asking them to pay a redelivery payment of £1.99.

Royal Mail have issued a statement urging customers not to click on any links in text messages claiming to be them and to report the message instead using their online forms.

They have said that contact will only be made with customers if they have signed up for this SMS service. If a fee is due on an item they will leave a grey card to confirm this.
