Sree Narayana Guru Mission London to Mark Golden Jubilee with Year-Long Celebrations

LONDON April 29: The Sree Narayana Guru Mission (SNGM), London, has commenced preparations for its Golden Jubilee celebrations, marking fifty years of dedicated service and spiritual engagement in the UK. In this connection, a historic meeting of former office-bearers and past executive committee members of SNGM UK was convened to plan and coordinate a year-long programme of commemorative events.

The meeting was held at the East Ham Guru Mission Centre, London, and brought together former leaders and officials of the organisation in a spirit of unity and shared purpose. The event was presided over by SNGM President Mr Baiju Santhaseelan, while Secretary Mr Pravin Vijay extended a warm welcome and expressed sincere gratitude to all former officials for coming together to support this significant milestone.

Addressing the gathering, the President stated that detailed discussions would be held to formulate a comprehensive programme of events for the Jubilee year. He emphasised that the celebrations planned for 2028 would reflect and uphold the inclusive, universal philosophy and values of Sree Narayana Guru, ensuring that the Golden Jubilee celebrations resonate with the Guru’s vision of social harmony and equality.

As the organisation approaches its fiftieth year, tributes were also paid to Mr V.K. Narayanan, who laid the foundation for the establishment of Sree Narayana Guru Mission in Britain, acknowledging his invaluable contributions and lasting legacy.

The meeting commenced with a moment of remembrance and condolence for the late Swami Muni Narayana Prasad, revered Head of Narayana Gurukulam, Varkala, Kerala, whose spiritual leadership and guidance made a profound impact on the global Guru movement.
