KOCHI March 1: Who sets limits on women’s dreams? Is a woman’s life to be trampled upon by her husband, boyfriend, or man who proposed to her?

The film Anandapuram Diaries, starring South Indian heroine Meena in the lead role, is the answer to many such questions. Meena is making a comeback to Malayalam after a long gap with a strong female-centric film.

Nandini is a woman who had to discontinue her studies directly in her life due to many setbacks such as marriage, divorce, terminal illness, etc. at a very young age. Nandhini, who aspired to become a lawyer, was first interrupted by a classmate who walked with a love proposal. The hasty marriage of the family to save him from him did not last long either. In the meantime, Nandini has taken admission in a law college several times to complete her law studies, which was stopped halfway through. In the end, cancer was the villain.

Nandini returned to the law college after overcoming the deadly disease without giving up her self-confidence. What awaited her there were classmates like Adithyan, Rebecca, Saju and Hari, who only knew how to love. But fate came in the way of Nandini there too. Finally, nandini, who survived all the tests and wore a black coat, came up with the case of a man who loved her like her son. After a long gap, Meena is making her malayalam debut as a strong female presence named Nandini. The role of Nandini was insignificant for Meena, who dominated the film industry as the shining heroine of south Indian superstars. The character of Nandini is a strong message to women to move forward in any crisis without giving up courage. Young actor Roshan Abdul Rahoof, who made his acting debut with Adaar Love, will be seen as Adithyan in the film.

Shikha Santhosh will be seen as Adithyan’s girlfriend Rebecca in the film. Manoj K Jayan and Tamil actor Srikanth are playing important roles in the film. Jaffer Idukki, Siddharth Siva, Sudheer Karamana, Mala Parvathi, Sibi Thomas, Rajesh Azhikodan, Abhishek Udayakumar, Meera Nair, Nikhil Sahapalan, Sanjana Sajan, Ramya Suresh, Ganga Meera, Kutty Akhil, RJ Anjali, Wriddhi Vishal and many others are part of the cast.

Written and directed by Jaya Jose Raj after ‘Edam’, Anandapuram Diaries tells the story of friendship and family relationships in the backdrop of college. The story of the film is written by Sasi Gopalan Nair. It was Sajith Purushan who made the beautiful visual presentation that takes the audience to the colours of the college campus.

Anandapuram Diaries has many beautiful songs. There are seven songs in the film, including the youtube song ‘Aar Nee Kanmani’ sung by KS Chithra. Composed by Shaan Rahman, Albert Vijayan and Jackson Vijayan, the songs are sung by KS Chithra, Sujatha, Sooraj Santhosh, Jackson Vijayan, Rani Sajeev, Dakshina Indu Mithun, Ashwin Vijay, Sreejith Subramanian, Yasin Nisar and Mithun Jayaraj.

When Meena returns to the Malayalees as a college kumari who has not lost her youth, the actress is proving that she still has the childhood to play many powerful characters. The film has characters of women living in different conditions in our society. Anandapuram Diaries gives a big message to the audience that women are not to be excluded anywhere and should move forward without getting tired of crises.
