KCWA Golden Jubilee “Keraleeyam” Cultural Extravaganza in Croydon on Aug 30: Reserve Tickets Now

CROYDON Aug 16: The Kerala Cultural and Welfare Association (KCWA) is all set to celebrate its Golden Jubilee with a spectacular cultural festival titled Keraleeyam, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Fairfield Halls, Park Lane, Croydon CR0 1JD. The event promises a grand evening filled with music, dance, theatre, and fashion—showcasing the rich heritage of Kerala alongside contemporary artistry.

Hosted by acclaimed film actress Meera Nandan the event highlights are: Venu Gaanam – Soul-stirring live concert by legendary playback singer G. Venugopal and his son, singer Aravind Venugopal, Thiranottam – KCWA’s signature theatrical presentation, Thiruvathira & Classical Bollywood Dances – A fusion of tradition and glamour, Jwala Fashion Show – A dazzling showcase of culture and style, Live Orchestra by Muzic India Ltd. KCWA invites everyone to join to celebrate 50 years of community spirit, and create memories for generations to cherish. Founded in 1975 by K. Komalangan, the Kerala Cultural and Welfare Association (KCWA) is a registered charity dedicated to uniting the Malayali community in Croydon through arts, sports, culture, education, and welfare activities.

Serving a vibrant population of over 25,000, KCWA runs weekly programmes that engage all age groups, including its renowned dance school, which has earned recognition at national-level competitions. Beyond these regular initiatives, KCWA also organises major cultural festivals and community celebrations throughout the year, providing platforms to honour tradition and shared heritage.

Two key wings strengthen KCWA’s foundations: Jwala – The Women’s Forum: A strong pillar of support, actively contributing leadership and community involvement. Yuva – The Youth Wing: Infuses fresh energy with innovative ideas, ensuring the organisation remains dynamic and forward-looking. Together, their mission is to foster community spirit, promote cultural cohesion, and support individual aspirations.
