Keralite Dies After Bike Accident in Leeds: Police Appeal for Witnesses

LEEDS July 26: West Yorkshire Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred at 5:36pm on Friday, July 25, on Wellington Road near the Armley Gyratory in Leeds. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Jefferson Justin, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, was pronounced dead at the scene after his motorbike left the roadway and collided with a wall.

Jefferson, who had been living in Leeds following his studies at Coventry University and was originally from a family residing in Dubai, was traveling away from the Armley Gyratory when the incident happened. It is unclear whether any other vehicle was involved in the collision. Social media posts from Leeds residents indicated the area experienced significant traffic congestion for hours after the accident.

Detectives from the Major Collision Enquiry Team are appealing for witnesses and especially anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward. Information can be provided by calling 101 or using the live chat feature at the West Yorkshire Police website, quoting log 1501 of 25 July.

Jefferson’s family in Dubai learned of the tragic event after police notified them at his residence, prompting them to seek assistance from friends in the UK.
