LONDON Oct 23: Former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak today officially launched his campaign to replace Liz Truss as Prime Minister after his late-night talks with rival Boris Johnson were claimed to have ended without a power-sharing pact being struck.
The former Chancellor formally confirmed his candidacy for the Tory leadership today with the following post
The United Kingdom is a great country but we face a profound economic crisis.
That’s why I am standing to be Leader of the Conservative Party and your next Prime Minister.
I want to fix our economy, unite our Party and deliver for our country. pic.twitter.com/BppG9CytAK
