Priya’s weekend cooking will help 72 households in Kerala to drink purified water

LONDON Oct 19: A humble effort by Malayalee housewife in the UK will help 72 households, who were affected by the Kerala floods, to drink purified water.

Priya Kiran, inspired from BBC Masterchef fame Suresh Pillai’s Cook for Kerala campaign, decided to contribute her mite towards the Kerala flood victims through cooking for her friends during a weekend.
Priya’s effort for such a noble cause made those who arrived to taste the dishes contribute generously.
The £700 raised on the day will help towards buying 72 water purifying machines for each homes affected by the floods in Kerala.
The water purifiers are distributed to the household through the local Panchayat members within the Thrissur areas such as Mala, Annamanada and Chengannur.
Priya, a noted writer, who is well-known among the literati in the UK, is from Thrissur in Kerala.
The family is settled in Milton Keynes in the United Kingdom.
Priya is married to Kiran, who works as .. at and has two sons  Priya’s beauty of  thoughts is reflected in what she writes and now it shows it through her actions to the disadvantaged.
Her unique way of contributing to a cause is sure to inspire more individuals to do what they can in their own means.
Priya’s humble efforts are supported by Watsan, a firm whose sole purpose is to provide water and sanitary solutions to the rural population by manufacturing and distributing low-cost, yet effective electricity-free water filters to urban slums and rural families who cannot afford other expensive options.
