Porinju Mariam Jose to be released in the UK from today (Schedule)

LONDON Oct 11: Porinju Mariam Jose will be released this week from today (Friday 11th October) across selected Cineworld Cinemas in – BIRMINGHAM BROAD ST, BOLDON TYNE & WEAR, CARDIFF, EDINBURGH, GLOUCESTER, LONDON-ILFORD, LONDON-FELTHAM, LONDON-WEMBLEY, MILTON KEYNES & STOKE ON TRENT.

Set in 1985 against the backdrop of a church festival in Thrissur, the film revolves around the lives of a rowdy named Kattalan Porinju, the aristocratic Alappattu Mariyam and their mutual friend Puthanpally Jose.

The film has been censored in the UK and can be viewed by everyone including children and has been released by LillyPad Motion Pictures & PJ Entertainments.

The film grossed $309,267 from 39 screens in the opening weekend (23 – 25 August) in the United Arab Emirates and $541,287 in three weeks.
It earned $8,133 (₹5.77 lakh) from 7 screens in the opening weekend (20 – 22 September) in the United States.
