Predictably, there was plenty of rage on Twitter – one of the last social networks left standing. According to the website Downdetector, which measures outages of popular sites across the web, the problems started at around 4pm this afternoon (Wednesday, March 13).
According to the site, 47% are experiencing a total blackout, 33% can’t log in and 20% can’t access relating apps.
One commentator on the site posted that Facebook is aware of the problem and is working on it. ‘The Help Centre have replied, and said they are working on it,’ explained Matt Excell.
Everything works, and then stops, for some reason. Just little things like saving something. I am not that impressed.’ Facebook has not yet officially confirmed the reason for the outage.
