Group of Keralites from UK hit bulls eye with their music album Saaya capturing beauty of Wales

LONDON Jan 22: It is not often music albums, songs and cinemas given life by Keralites in UK, make it big in the Indian or Kerala entertainment circles. However, now we have a music album created by a group of Keralites from the UK hitting the bulls eye and making it big within the entertainment circles in south India.

The music album #Saaya was trending in Twitter on release day at No 4 in India and No 1 in Chennai.

The video of the music album captures the stunning beauty of Wales. The rolling valleys and rugged mountains, in the backdrop of incredible landscapes, turn the lush forests into ethereal glens reminiscent of ancient fairytales, which makes the video appealing wordwide.

These group of Keralites who have been to Wales before were bowled over by the beauty and realised that it would be a perfect setting for their next project. Thus their whole project was designed with an intention to showcase the scenic beauty of picturesque south Wales. It was shot in various locations like Ogmo, Llantwit Major, Brecon Beacons mountain range in South Wales and water fall country.

The music album which was launched in Tamil and Malayalam has crossed several milestones.

It received 1 million views in less than 48 hours. The song video was released through the pioneers of music industry Saregama India Limited.

Saaya is the story of a girl who takes an unconventional path towards her passion and dreams which is portrayed in a lucid and natural style which appeals to the viewers. Central characters were played by aspiring actors Krupa Givane and Ishmael Norris from London.

The song for the album is rendered by Sivaangi Krishnakumar, one of the top trending singers from the Tamil music industry. Sivaangi Krishnakumar is a playback singer, film actress and a television personality in south India. Sivaangi was born in Thodupuzha, Kerala to a Tamil father and a Malayali mother.

Mithun Eshwar is the music director for the song. Mithun is a noted Indian music director, pianist, keyboard programmer, singer and violin performer, based in Bangalore from Calicut.

The team behind the album are all mostly Keralites living in the UK. The whole team of technicians have worked in various projects beforehand.

The song album is directed by Ronu Zacharia Roy from Cardiff and is from Kothamangalam in Kerala. Ronu Zachariah Roy previously worked as Assistant director in Malayalam film industry.

Shins K Jose, director of Photography, previously worked with cinematography team of Malayalam films like Drama and Pathu Kalpanakal. Shins has also worked for the UK schedule of many other Tamil and Malayalam movies. Shins Jose is from Kumily in India and settled in Wales.

The whole project is designed by Aby Joseph who lives in Stratford-upon-Avon and from Kottayam in Kerala.

The creative director for the album is Chindu Johny who lives in Wales and from Kottayam in Kerala.

Cinematographer is Jaison Lawrence who lives in Cardiff and from Kalamassery. The editor for the album is Rino Jacob who lives in London and from Manimala in Kerala.

The Colourist is Adarsh Kurian who lives in Colchester and from Kanjirappally. The Make-up artist is Shalu George who lives in Cardiff and from Kothamangalam.
