UK Malayalee Cricket League annual awards night to be held in Ilford on Saturday with music and dance

LONDON Nov 25: UK Malayalee Cricket League, one of the first and foremost cricket club which brings together hoards of Keralite cricket players and aficionados during the summer months will host their annual award night on Saturday 27th November 2021 from 5.30pm at the Fords Sports & Social Club, Aldsborough Road, Ilford IG3 8HG.

“The award ceremony is an opportunity to thank all the sponsors, players and supporting families that continue to form the backbone of our cricketing community. It is going to be a great evening of fun, food and celebrations after a very successful year for UKMCL”, said a press note from the League.

“This year’s event will include festive fun for the family, three course meal, Live music, Live dance and an opportunity to show your skills on the dance floor. Please join the celebration of a successful year and welcome Season 2022 on a high”, added the note.

The last season was eventful and historic as it welcomed players from the wider communities for the first time.

As usual season 2021 League season too continued to provide all the thrills and drama of competitive community cricket at its very best.

India XI were crowned the 2021 League champions. The annual 20-20 competition was won by Hornbills.

UKMCL will also be honouring individuals who supported the League and the Keralite community in all forms for the last 35 years. This year UKMCL will be honouring Sreejith Sreedharan, Mishal Francis and Jayaprakash Krishnanfor their outstanding contributions to community cricket in London.

UKMCL’s continued success is a testimony to the collaborative effort of the organisers, players, well- wishers and sponsors. This year, UKMCL received continued support from sponsors who also share and recognise the passion for community cricket development.
