LONDON April 21: Bobby Seagull is a familiar name among the British TV audience. He became famous as a columnist for the Financial Times, as a mathematics teacher, broadcaster and writer. He appeared on the television programme University Challenge in 2017, and in 2018 on Monkman & Seagull’s Genius Guide to Britain. His second book, The Life-Changing Magic of Numbers, was published in 2018.

Meet Keralite Bobby Seagull: Famous with British TV audience

Bobby Seagull, born and bred in east London, who is a bachelor, will now be featuring in Netflix’s series “Indian Matchmaking” Season 3 starting today (April 21). The reality television series follows matchmaker Sima Taparia as she guides clients around the world in the arranged marriage process, offering an inside look at the custom in a modern era.

“Will I ever get married?! I’ve tried using mathematical algorithms and strategies, but as a perennial singleton, it’s clearly not worked so far”, says Bobby. It will be interesting to hear reasons why Bobby wasnt able to get married or find the right match. Probably a dilemma many of those migrant generation of that of Bobby’s face caught up between the two cultures.

Over eight episodes, audiences will watch Sima’s work with Indians in London, Delhi, New York, and Miami to find them the partner of their dreams.

In her typical process, she visits them at their home, has some chai or coffee, meets their parents, asks for their criteria, and then tells them to lower their expectations. She’ll then proceed to present “biodata” — or personal resumes — to their parents first, of course, before dashing their expectations. With Sima Aunty, you must settle and “proceed.”
