Croydon Resident Murali T Nair Passes Away in Sleep

LONDON, March 22: Murali T Nair (62), a long-time resident of Croydon, passed away at his home on Clarice Way, Wallington, on Friday March 20. It is suspected that he suffered a cardiac arrest in his sleep.

Originally from Kilimanoor in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram district, Murali had been living in the UK for the past 35 years. He was well known within the community, maintaining a wide circle of friends and actively participating in arts and cultural activities.

He had been working in Croydon for many years and was a familiar figure in the local Malayalee community.

Murali is survived by his wife Girija Nair, who hails from Edava in Varkala, and their two children Vishnu Nair and Surya Nair.

His body is currently kept at the mortuary of a hospital in Croydon. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time.
