Pothencode on verge of closure, all under observation, flow chart of Abdul Azeez released

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM April 1: The government is likely to announce closure of Pothencode. The people of the entire panchayat will have to be observed for three weeks. It is following the suspicion that Abdul Azeez a resident of Pothencode who died of coronavirus came in contact with many.

It is not clear how he got infected. Health Minister K K Shailaja had earlier mentioned that there is no possibility of a community spread in Pothencode. Minister Kadakampally Surendran there is no need to panic.

Meantime, the flow chart of Azeez, a retired cop was released today
On March 2nd he had attended the wedding of a relative in the Rajasree auditorium at Ariyottukonam near Pothencode.

The same day he had gone to the sub-treasury office near the Thiruvananthapuram MCH to get the pension and later attended the funeral of a relative at Nagaroor Manzil Kabaradi.

The places he visited include the Nagaroor Manzil Kabaradi on March 11, Juma Masjid, Vavarambalam, near Pothencode on March 13, Ayiroopara Farmers Service Cooperative Bank before 2 pm on March 17, and Mohanapuram on March 18.

He had sought treatment at the Thonakkal primary health centre on March 18 after developing symptoms of the disease.

After seeking medical care in the hospital again on March 21, he had gone to Sree Gokulam Medical College, Venjaramoodu, on March 23. He was referred to the MCH on March a short while later.
