Indian High Commission hosts newly arrived Indian students in UK at India House: More receptions planned

LONDON Oct 15: The High Commission of India in London hosted a Welcome Reception for the newly arrived Indian students in the UK on 14 October 2022.

The event was held from 6pm to 8pm at the Gandhi Hall, High Commission of India, India House, Aldwych, London- WC2 B4NA.

The Indian High Commissioner interacted with the students with a few cultural performances on show during the event.

After the event the Indian High Commissioner Vivek Doraisamy said: “A big thank you to more than 350 students who joined today. We will host similar receptions in future, for those who missed out”.

Students were asked to register them for the event before 12th October. However, as the subscription has reached its limit the High Commission has stopped accpeting further registrations.

In a note the High Commission wrote as below:

“Dear students, we are delighted by your overwhelming response to our first welcome reception for new arrivals on 14th October. Sadly, we have reached full capacity due the event. We are pleased to welcome all new arrivals students who have already registered.

“While we will have to freeze registration for this first event, we will be hosting similar events in the coming weeks for new arrivals in the UK. We will start registration for the next event soon: please keep checking this space for updates.
