Varkala Edava native who was on visit with son and family at Corby dies of Covid: Funeral on March 1

CORBY (Northamptonshire) Feb 19: T Chandrakumar Nair (70), a resident of Edava in Varkala of Thiruvananthapuram district, succumbed to Covid at the Kettering General Hospital in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

T Chandrakumar Nair and his wife was in the UK for the past one year on visit to spend time with his children. T Chandrakumar Nair and wife was living with his son Sreejith who worked as nursing assistant in Corby. The couple were planning to return to Kerala but delayed their trip back due to the Covid lockdown and owing to the travel difficulties during the time of Covid.

But Chandrakumar Nair fell ill with Covid and his condition deteriorated and it resulted in him having to be admitted to the Kettering General Hospital in Northamptonshire. Towards the later few days he was kept on the ventilator. But as his condition didnt improve the doctors informed the family that the ventilators were becoming futile. He sadly passed away on 16th February 2021.

Chandrakumar leaves behind wife and his four sons, their spouses and children who all are residing in the UK.

The funeral will be held in the UK on March 1 by following Covid restrictions.
