CM to launch Kerala pension scheme for expatriates at Loka Kerala Sabha

DUBAI Feb 14: The government has set up a plan that provides high dividant and pension for expats who contribute for Kerala’s development. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the function on Thursday at World Kerala Forum’s first west Asian meet.

A special company to collect the NRI funds, NRI education centre, Construction Company manages by expats and rehabilitation programmes will be declared in the programme.
Those who deposit a minimum amount of Rs 5 lakh or more can join this pension programme. This money can be deposited in KIFBI or similar agencies. A dividend of 12% will be given to those who make the deposit.
Monthly income will be received when five year is completed. Pension will be received even if they leave their job and return home. Rs 2000 will be provided as pension amount. There is no age limit.
Pension will include interest and government deposit. World Kerala Summit will be held on February 15th and 16th. The labour problems and other issues of the expats will be discussed.
25 people will represent the expats. Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan, K C Josph MLA, chief secretary Tom Jose, principal secretary Dr. Ilankovan, P T Kunjumuhammed, K Varadarajan and CEO K Harikrishnan Namboothiri will participate in the event
