Indians stranded in the UK, inlcuding PIOs may be repatriated by end of May

LONDON May 4: Indian nationals, which includes thousands of students, stranded in the UK and US may be repatriated by end of May 2020, reports in Times of India said.

The report says that Indian government will be giving priority to those stranded Indians in the Gulf for them to be taken back as soon as possible.

The report says that there are around 9000 Indians who are stranded in the UK those who have registered with the Indian High Commission here to return to India owing to emergencies.
The Indian government has asked the state governments to ensure that they have enough accommodation facilities for them to quarantine those who are retuning from other countries for fourteen days.
Charter flights will be departing from Stanstead, Heathrow and Birmingham with upto three flights a day.
