Three deaths in a week brings in another unsettling time for Keralites in East London

LONDON March 2: Three deaths in a week has brought in another unsettling week for the Keralite community in East London.

After a lull for some time, deaths in three families will result in them have to bereave for the loss of the most dear ones with funerals to take place in the coming days.

All three departed souls have family members in East London and mainly in the East Ham area where there is a huge Keralite population.

Two deaths happened on 24th February and one on 28th February. Two funerals have been fixed for 5th March and 7th March with the funeral date of one is still being awaited.

Kamalamma Sukumaran (aged 89) of Caulfield Road E6 2EJ passed away on 24th February 2022.

Sukumaran Ragavan (90yrs) of 78 Oakfield Road, East Ham E6 1LW, sadly passed away on 24th February 2022.

Suseela Sathyavrathan (74), wife of Late G Sathyavruthan, of Coronation Drive, Hornchurch, RM12 5BT passed away on Monday 28th February 2022.

Kamalamma Sukumaran (aged 89) of Caulfield Road E6 2EJ passed away on 24/02/2022.

She is from Shyla Mandriam, Vattaplamoodu, Sreenivasapuram in Varkala of Thiruvananthapuram district.

She is wife of Late Sukumaran Krishna.

She leaves behind three daughter Shyla, Sheela, Leena, sons-in-laws Radhakrishnan, Anil Kumar, Raju and grandchildren Roshan, Roshni, Sravya, Jithin, Rahul, Silpa.

Funeral will be held at City of London Cemetery & Crematorium on Saturday 5th March 2022 at 12:30pm with a service being held at 10:30am.

Senior citizen residing in Hornchurch passed away: Funeral  on 7th March

Mrs Suseela Sathyavrathan (74), wife of Late G Sathyavruthan, of 69 Coronation Drive, Hornchurch, RM12 5BT passed away on Monday 28th February 2022 due to old age illness.

She is from Sathya Bhavan, Manambur in Thiruvanathapuram district.

She is survived by her children Lizzy Vijayan, Letha Manilal, Son in laws PV Vijayan, S Manilal and Grand Children, Chithra Vijayan, Remya Vijayan, Mineetha Manilal and Amrutha Manilal.

Funeral will be taking place at City of London Cremetorium, Aldersbrook Road, London E12 5DQ on Monday the 7th March at 10.45 am.

Sukumaran Ragavan (90) of 78 Oakfield Road, East Ham E6 1LW, passed away on 24th February 2022.

Sukumaran Ragavan is from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.

He arrived in the UK in the 1960s
