Nine-year-old Keralite schoolgirl from Kent named UK’s youngest health and safety officer

By A Staff Reporter

GILLINGHAM (Kent) March 8: At the age of 9, this Keralite schoolgirl witnessed an altercation between her dad and another lady in front of her school about bad parking in front of her school.

Rather than been annoyed and anguished with the uncomfortable situation, the nine year old started to think what her dad did. She immediately realised that her dad was right in questioning wrong parking and thus she decided to pick up from where her dad left.

From then on Andromeda Rose Joseph, the Year Five pupil, started to speak to those drivers who parked illegally. As per reports on Kent Online she has been telling drivers not to park in illegal spaces for the last two years.

Her campaign continued with her raising awareness through designing safety poster which are today donned in her school common areas.

Her efforts were rewarded by the school head teacher Clare Redmond by appointing Andromeda as the health and safety officer for the St Thomas of Canterbury RC Primary School, Rainham in Kent, Kent Online reported.

Thus Andromeda Rose Joseph has become Britain’s youngest health and safety officer who now dons a yellow jacket and a badge and a clipboard given to her officially by the school.
