NHS launches International Recruitment Toolkit for employers to review quality and efficiency of existing practises

LONDON March 28: NHS has launched an International Recruitment Toolkit yesterday for healthcare providers to review quality and efficiency of their existing practises.

This toolkit is designed to support collaborative, effective and ethical international recruitment that provides value for money.

The NHS Long Term Workforce Plan outlines a strategic approach to address current and future workforce challenges within the National Health Service (NHS). The plan spans 15 years, with a primary focus on recruitment and retention of thousands more staff to ensure the NHS can continue delivering high-quality care to patients.

Key areas of focus within the plan include:
• Supporting organizations actively recruiting from overseas while ensuring ethical practices are followed.
• Boosting domestic training to reduce reliance on international recruitment and agency staff.
• Retaining existing staff through career development, progression opportunities, and enhanced staff wellbeing and leadership initiatives.
