Keralite in Armenia stabbed to death by alleged assistants of Trivandrum based recruitment agency

LONDON June 20: A Keralite was stabbed to death with his accomplice sustaining injuries and hospitalised in Yerevan in Armenia.

Reports say that Sooraj (27), a native of Thrissur Korati and his friend Lijo Paul, a native of Chalakudy went to the enquire about them being moved from Armenia to Europe.

During the discussions it is assumed that disagreements occured which resulted in the assistants of the visa agency of a Thiruvananthapuram native attacked the two resulting in the death of Sooraj. Lijo is admitted to hospital with wounds.

Reports said that Sooraj went to Armenia and was doing a driver job. However, his aim was to move to Europe for which he was liaising with the recruktment agency

Sooraj’s friends in Armenia informed the family about the incident over the phone.

Sooraj’s father has filed a complaint to investigate his son’s death. Steps are being taken for the body to be repatriated to Keralw with help from the Indian High Commission and NORKA.
