NEW DELHI Oct 6: Foreigners and OCI cardholders can now complete and submit the e-Arrival Card online up to 72 hours before arriving in India, according to a press release from the Indian government.

The digital form can be submitted via boi.gov.in, indianvisaonline.gov.in, or the official Indian Visa Su-Swagatam mobile app. The Indian government’s official OCI website has also been updated with this notification.

All international travelers to India are required to fill out this form. The new Electronic Arrival Card aims to replace the traditional paper disembarkation card used at immigration counters. During an initial six-month transition period, both electronic and paper versions will be accepted, but travelers are encouraged to submit the online form prior to travel for faster processing and reduced congestion at airports.

The e-Arrival Card is designed to streamline data collection on arrival and requests:

Passport and flight details

Local contact address in India

Recent travel history within the past 30 days

Once submitted online through an official government travel or immigration portal, travelers will receive a confirmation to present upon entry. Click To Complete e-Arrival Card
