First UK Malayalee to die of Coronavirus in Birmingham: Two US Malayalees dies of Corona

BIRMINGHAM April 2: A retired UK Malayalee NHS doctor from Birmingham in West Midlands died on Wednesday April 1 after reportedly contracting coronavirus, uukmanews.com reported.

Dr Pachiri Hamsa, 80, worked for the health service for several decades, and is said to have contracted Covid-19 before his death couple of weeks back and was undergoing treatement in Birmingham.

Dr Pachiri Hamsa is from Perinthalmanna in Malappuram district.
He leaves behind wife Rosna and children Shabnam and Zakhir.
Meanwhile, two Keralites died in the USA after being infected with coronavirus.
The deceased was identified as Pathanamthitta Elanthoor native Thomas David (43) and Kunjamma Samuel (85).
Thomas David, 43, hailing from Elanthoor in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta district was under treatment in New York. Thomas David was an employee at New York Metropolitan Transport Authority.
He was working at transit and was hospitalised following coronavirus infection. He was admitted to the hospital with severe fever and was later shifted to intensive care unit. However, his life could not be saved.
Kunjamma Samuel, 85, from Ramamangalam in Ernakulam district lived in New Jersey.
