Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 Emerges As A Major Success In Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Nov 25: Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 has emerged as a major success in Kerala, recording robust growth across television and digital platforms. The season delivered strong performances on JioHotstar and Asianet, with marked increases in viewership, watch time, and social media engagement.

Viewership on JioHotstar nearly doubled on the grand finale day, August 3, 2025, compared with the previous season, while total watch time rose by 137%. Across the entire season, the platform registered a 65% increase in video views and a 36% jump in cumulative watch time. Connected TV viewing contributed 25% of total digital watch time, underscoring the growing trend of large-screen family viewership.

On Asianet, the show reached 7.37 million viewers, achieving the franchise’s highest-ever Grand Finale ratings and consistently strong weekday and weekend performance. Bigg Boss Malayalam also maintained extensive reach overall, connecting with an estimated 84% of Kerala’s population.

Season 7 generated 6.2 billion social media interactions, reinforcing its reputation as one of Kerala’s most influential entertainment properties. A commoner finishing as the second runner-up added a relatable touch, while host Mohanlal’s refreshed look drew significant traction and conversation online.

The season attracted 17 national and regional advertisers across TV and digital, including MyG, Maruti, Berger Paints, Swiggy, Healthy Grocer Perungayam, Ujala Young and Fresh, Regal Jewellers, Patanjali Ayurved (Sunrich), MYK Laticrete India, Arvind Labs’ Dazzler, K P Namboodiri, Havells, Premier Tissues, M4marry.com, Confident Group, Merino Industries and Cera.

With strong audience engagement and advertiser participation, Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 reinforced its position as a flagship property within JioStar’s Malayalam entertainment lineup and one of the franchise’s most successful editions to date.
