KALA to host Malayalam Poetry Writing competition for Keralites in UK: Enter by Sept 15

LONDON Aug 4: KALA UK has announced a Malayalam Poetry Competition, inviting submissions from poets across the UK. The competition aims to celebrate the rich tradition of Malayalam poetry and provide a platform for poets to showcase their talent.

Each entry should preferably reflect the beauty, culture of Kerala, or any theme that resonates with the Malayalam-speaking community.

The competition deadline for entries is 15th September 2024.

Two winning entries will be selected and the winning poets will be invited to receive their awards from the renowned poet and lyricist, Vayalar Sharathchandra Varma at the Kala Annual event in London on 19th October 2024.

“We are excited to host this competition and look forward to receiving a diverse range of poetic expressions from the Malayalam speaking community across the UK,” said the Kala literary coordinator, Nisha Ramkumar.

The entries should be sent to the following email address literary.coordinator@kala.org.uk with the subject line MALAYALAM POETRY COMPETITION. PDF or image files of handwritten poems are accepted.

Please include the name, age, contact number and address of the poet in the email body.

The Kala Annual, scheduled for 19th October 2024 in London, is a vibrant cultural event that brings together artists, poets, and cultural enthusiasts from various backgrounds. It promises to be an evening filled with artistic performances, conversations, and a celebration of Malayalam heritage.
