THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Sept 23: Non Resident Indians (NRIs) may be exempted from quarantine for emergency visits such as death or marriage of close relatives, reports from Kerala said.

The quarantine exemption may be granted to those who return home from abroad for emergencies.

The exemption will be granted with strict conditions to those who return within 7 days after arriving for the death, marriage or health problems of close relatives.

Kovid inspection will be mandatory in the country of departure and after arrival in Kerala and before returning.

They are not allowed to attend anything other than the ceremonies recorded in the online application.
