THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Feb 28: The ministerial meeting decided to form a special purpose company under government ownership in order to develop basic facilities for pilgrims at Sabarimala, Pamba, Nilakkal, and other related places.
This non-profitable company will make use of the money set aside in the annual budget and the money earmarked by KIFB for the timely completion of Sabarimala development projects.
The Chief Secretary will be the chairman of this company and the departmental secretaries will form the governing body.
The Travancore Devaswom Board commissioner will be the convenor. In the year 2019-20, Rs 739 crores have been set aside for various development projects in Sabarimala.
