THIRUVANANTHAPURAM May 29: Criticism will be raised against BJP Kerala sector for not following election strategy advised by BJP President Amit Shah. Amit Shah’s priority was to bring the achievement of Modi’s government to the notice of people, which the Kerala wing ignored completely.
The party assumes that this strategy has worked brilliantly in other states, whereas the party couldn’t even win one seat in Kerala.
Ujwala Yojana, Swacch Bharat, Mudra project, several employment schemes, and electricity projects were the highlight of Modi led government. While the party wings in other states listed the consumers of these projects, Kerala BJP couldn’t organize any such thing.
Organizational failure is cited as another reason for defeat. The work of lower-level party groups was almost close to inactive.
The central leadership is shocked by BJP’s defeat in the state capital where the party lost by a margin of one lakh votes. In the last Lok Sabha election, the defeat was by a margin of 15,000 votes.
The state leadership of the party will be made to explain the debacle in an election where BJP was largely successful throughout the nation.
