LONDON March 25: After 12 weeks of tasks, 30-year-old Harpreet Kaur has walked away with Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment after coming out on top over her rival contestant Kathryn Burn in The Apprentice reality show telecast on BBC.

The finale saw the two remaining contestants launch their business ideas, presenting them in front of industry experts.

Prior to the final, Harpreet and Kathryn described how they became close friends during the process.

The two finalists successfully tackled fishing in Cornwall, creating video games and attempting to reignite the Welsh tourism industry en-route to the grand finale

West Yorkshire-based Kaur owns Oh So Yum! – a dessert parlour and sweet treat delivery service – with her older sister Gurvinder. The company has two locations, in Leeds and Huddersfield.

After winning the show, Kaur said she plans to “take over the dessert world,” and expand the business alongside her sister.

Harpreet grew up in a Punjabi family in Birmingham, before her parents and siblings upped sticks to Yorkshire where they ran the corner store

Harpreet graduated with a first class degree and by the tender age of 22 she was managing the bank branch.
