‘Swanthanam’ project announced for NRIs those who lost jobs

Thiruvananthapuram Feb 1 : A total of Rs 24 crore earmarked under Swanthanam project has been announced to assist NRIs who lost jobs. Importantly, NORKA to bear the transportation expenses of dead from abroad.

Asserting the formation of Kerala Bank this year, the minister added that the NRIs will be allowed to deposit in the Kerala Banks.

Also Rs 1,420 Crore allotted for women empowerment schemes. Also the government will ensure the daily wages of Rs 400-600 to 25,00 poor women. Marriage assistance fund for girl were also announced.

For the welfare sector, the government announced projects for the welfare for senior citizens and added that all the welfare pensions will be increased Rs 100. A total of 4,000 crore has been allocated to the Health and Education sector.
