LONDON (Ontario) Sept 22: Jibin C Benoy (29), son of Benoy Abraham and Kunjumol Benoy, Cheruviputhenpurayil, Koothattukulam, died in a hit and run accident at Hamilton Road, London, Ontario at around 4:30am on September 18, 2022. He was cycling home after his work. Jibin C Benoy was a student at Fanshawe College.

In October 2021 he got married, and came to Canada to enroll at Fanshawe College, while financially supporting his family back home.

Reports said that on Sunday morning, after working his usual late night shift at Kluck. It on King Street, he rode his bike home and was struck and killed on Hamilton Road around 4:40 am.

Police say an investigation has found the suspect vehicle may be a dark-coloured sedan with significant damage to the front end, hood and windshield.

A pair of online fundraisers have been started by the London Ontario Malayalee Association (LOMA), as well as Halbouni’s work family at Kluck.It. The campaign’s goal is to help with all costs associated and provide help for the family members who were dependent on Jibin.

Benoy’s friends are working with the embassy in the process of sending Benoy’s body home.
