Keralite from Luton passed away following cardiac arrest

LUTON Dec 27: Jiji Mathews, former president and founding member of LUKA (Luton Keralites Association), passed away last night due to cardiac arrest, the organisation informed the community.

“Our thoughts are with the grieving family. Date and place of funeral will be announced later”, said a note by Luton Keralites Association.

Local reports say that Jiji (56) went to bed as normal and woke up at midnight and went downstairs to have some water. As Jiji didnt get back to bed his wife went downstairs to see Jiji struggling with uneasiness. Although she gave him CPR his condition worsened and ambulance was called straightaway. Jiji was taken to the hospital immediately and it was learnt that he passed away.

Jiji is a native of Mylapra in Pathanamthitta.
