NEW DELHI June 21: V. Muraleedharan, the deputy minister for foreign affairs, came to the assistance of 25 Indians who were stranded at Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow. This includes five Keralite MBBS students.
According to the students, after security checks and luggage transportation they were not allowed to board the plane. As emigration was done, they were not allowed to go out.
Many were left without money as their luggage were already on the plane.
The airport authorities gave the reason that the students were late. V. Muraleedharan, after noticing this incident, made arrangement for their return.
The passengers said that the airline company suggested buying another ticket. Later when they tried to contact the Indian Embassy, the numbers were not functional.
