LONDON Oct 19: The torrential rain and devastating floods have struck Kerala again and have caused death and misery to many of our Brethren. So far, 26 people including 5 children have lost their lives.

Thousands more lost their homes and livelihoods. In Mundakkayam, Kottayam district, one of the worst hit areas, many families have been moved to two makeshift camps, where there is a dire need for emergency relief supplies.

The urgency of the situation required prompt and thoughtful actions. Hence, MAUK have teamed up with Snehakoodu Abhyamandiram, a reputable charity based in Kottayam, to supply medicines, clothes and blankets at these camps and have released initial funds to start distribution today (19/11/21).

Those wishing to support MAUK in their efforts to lessen the pain and sufferings of innocent families can contribute by making a donation through their website www.mauk.org/paypal donate or directly into their bank account – A/C no. 43074200, Sort Code: 60-07-18. Use ‘KERALA FLOODS’ as reference.
