Indian Professionals Forum to discuss impact of new immigration policy

LONDON March 11: The UK government has published its white paper on “The UK’s future skills –based immigration system“ and has invited comments and recommendations.
The Indian Professionals Forum (IPF) in partnership with the High Commission of India and FICCI UK is organising a high level debate on the impact of proposed Government policy on immigration, education, youth and skilled manpower mobility from India.
In her foreword the Prime Minister has said “ The white paper sets out how we will use this moment to introduce new, skills-based immigration system… It will be a single system that welcomes talent, hard work and the skills we need as a country… “
The Home Secretary in his foreword has said “Fundamental to the design of this system has been a recognition that immigration has made huge contributions to our society ,culture and economy –enriching communities, bringing new perspectives, stimulating growth and making us the outward–looking nation we are today.”
The panel discussion and debate is aimed at reviewing the report and making specific suggestions and recommendation as it affects immigration and attracts key skilled labour from India.
