NEW DELHI Sept 1: The Supreme Court has denied the petition seeking to direct the central government to accept foreign aid from countries including UAE.
The court has also rejected the plea seeking immediate consideration in the matter. The decision was taken by bench presided over by the Chief Justice Dipak Mishra.
Advocate Jaya Sukin said approached the court demanding permission to accept foreign aid during the time of disaster. There are certain norms in the Disaster Management law regarding this.
Denying help is a human right violation. He also said in the petition that Kerala should receive the help offered by several countries immediately.
