LONDON Feb 25: The UK is in for more warm weather, with the possibility of temperatures reaching 19°C next week in some parts of England and Wales, Metro News reported.

Northern Wales, north Devon, north Cumbria and some London areas will be reach up to 17°C or 18°C, with Tuesday expected to be the hottest day.

The continued sunshine follows the warmest February day recorded in Scotland since 1897, in which temperatures reached 18.3°C in Aberdeen on Thursday February 21.

While the warmest place in the UK on Friday was Gogerddan, in Wales, at 18.1°C, and on Saturday, Kew Gardens in London at 17.8°C.

But while conditions across the country are currently ‘mild to exceptionally mild’, it’s best advised to take advantage of the sunshine now – as it may not last for long.

Met Office forecaster Marco Petagna said temperatures will begin to cool after Wednesday, with some ‘unsettled weather’ due to set in at the end of the week. The UK has been basking in the blue skies of February so far, picnicking in the park and even stripping off for a dip in the sea in some parts. It’s a stark clear contrast to last year, when Britain was hit with the Beast from the East from the start of March.
