Thrissur native nurse working with Medway NHS in Kent succumbs to cancer

LONDON June 3: A dental nurse working with the Medway NHS Trust in Kent passed away on Tuesday 2nd June 2021, after months of battle with cancer. She was 49.

According to family friends Sherin Varghese was diagnosed with breast cancer five months back and since then she was undergoing treatment.

However, as her situation deteriorated she was shifted to Kings Hospital in London a couple of weeks back.

Family and friends were continually praying and hoping that Sherin would come back stronger after the battle with cancer. However, Sherin succumbed to her illness on Tuesday around 5pm.

Sherin Varghese leaves behind husband Paul Varghese and two sons who live in Gravesend in Kent.

Sherin is a native of Perakam in Chavakkad and her husband Paul hails from Chalakudy.

Paul Varghese is Vice Chairman of the World Malayalee Council UK Province.

Dr Jimmy Lonappan, World Malayalee Council’s UK province chairman, condoled the death of Sherin Varghese.

Details of the funeral will be decided later by the family
