Thiruvananthapuram native dies of Covid in Hayes in London

LONDON Jan 25: Suja Premjith (46), a resident of Venganur, Thiruvananthapuram, who was living in Hayes, Greater London, has passed away yesterday after falling ill with Covid.

Suja was admitted to the hospital for treatment few days back following discomfort and later was diagnosed with Covid.

The illness quickly worsened and she was transferred to a ventilator following a respiratory failure.

Suja from Chadayamangalam, is married to Premjith of Deepanjali House, Venganur, Thiruvananthapuram. The couple have a child Ananya Nair (13).

Following the untimely death of Suja, the Malayalee community in Hayes are with the family with a helping hand. The family has been in the UK for the past eighteen years

Reports say that five Keralites in UK have succumbed to Covid in the month of January 2021.

Mohanan Kumaran (Boleyn Mohanan-66) from Kollam Karunagappally, Pastor Cecil Cheeran from Wayanad in Manchester, John Varghese from London and Sojan from Belfast died this month.

With the death of Suja, the number of UK Malayalees dying in the second Covid wave has risen to 14. So far, 31 Malayalees have fallen victim to Covid deaths in UK.
