The alleged offence was that he obtained fake mark lists under the name of Gulbarga University and fake certificate from NV Degree College.

Saju booked the ticket via British Airways and while he was at the Bengaluru emigration counter the officer felt suspicious with the fake certificates which led him to be interrogated.

Further questioning revealed that Saju obtained the UK student visa using fake certificates.

Saju revealed to the emigration officers that he received help from a person name Dinny who works for My Way (name changed but similar) education recruitment consultancy in Kozhikode. Dinny made arrangements for Saju to obtain the fake certificates from a Anurag based in Bengaluru.
