These consular services delivered from High Commission and Consulates in UK moved to VFS

LONDON May 24: Some of the consular services delivered through the Indian High Commission and Consulates in UK has been shifted to the VFS UK offices from 24th May 2021, a notification from the Indian High Commission said.

The services those are being moved to VFS offices in Goswell, Hounslow, Birmingham and Edinburgh are Execution of Will/Gift Deed, Power of Attorney, Birth Registration and Sworn Affidavit for issue of passport of a minor, said the note.

The move of these services from the Indian High Commission and Consulates to the VFS offices comes in the wake of the continued health risks associated with the Covid pandemic and also to provide an enhanced service catering to increasing demand for these services.

The changes will come into effect from May 24, 2021  onwards.

Those with confirmed appointments from May 24, 2021 (Monday) onwards at the High Commission or Consulates for the services listed are advised to submit their applications at one of the nearest VFS centres.
