This short horror film Locked Down Rose by Bitu Thomas is unique and has already been selected for award

LONDON June 25: Many have already been affected by their mental health during the time of the lockdown due to the pandemic. This Malayalee from London Bitu Thomas was too overpowered with the effects of the lockdown.

Many were affected as a result of having to work from home. It was then Bitu decides to do something which she likes to come out of the mental lockdown.

Bitu has given life to this short horror film, titled Locked Down Rose. This short horror film by Bitu Thomas is unique and has already been selected for the Lift off Global Network and First Time Filmmaker Sessions 2020 award.

Locked Down Rose is a story spanning three countries – UK, India and Hong Kong about mental health and how Lockdown would affect different people living alone and away from their loved ones.

This movie was made in May 2020 during the time of Coronaviraus lockdown with only mobile phone cameras, Zoom recordings and free editing software.

Bitu had acted in a Malayalam movie “White” starring Mammooty in 2016.
Bitu coordinated with Jency (from India) and Queensy (from Hong Kong) and her son Ayden who helped her through the whole project.

Bitu, who works as a financial consultant, is settled in Goodmayes in East London and from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.

The film was scripted, shot and directed and edited across these three countries in just 7 days.
